Everyone on our team wears masks during active patient care. Patients are welcome to wear masks while in our office before and after any procedure.
How we help reduce the risks:
Our team has always gone above and beyond the standards of infection control but we also know concerns are elevated regarding exposure to COVID-19 and other health risks. Here are some of the ways that we mitigate the potential for transmission of pathogens in our practice.
- MASKS UP
- SCREENING & MITIGATION PRACTICES
Prior to any dental appointment, if you or someone you have been in close contact with is displaying potential COVID symptoms that have not been medically evaluated, please contact us. Everyone must clean their hands with hand sanitizer when entering our office and, upon being seated, an antimicrobial oral rinse is provided to reduce the bioload of germs in the mouth.
- VACCINATION
As of February, 2021, Dr. Tomaszewski and everyone on our team that has been able to undergo vaccination for COVID-19 has done so.
- ENHANCED CHEMICAL DISINFECTION OF ROOMS
An enhanced disinfectant is now being used that evaporates slowly for greater contact time and disinfection of germs including the H1N1 virus. A thorough “sit and soak” process of wiping all exposed surfaces is carried out and rooms are left unoccupied for an extended period of time after being disinfected.
- PPE & DISPOSABLE BARRIERSIn addition to the standard infection control practices during patient care, we now utilize added barriers that can either be discarded or more easily disinfected between patient visits.
- QUESTIONS
Please contact us with any questions or concerns specifically related to your personal level of risk.
